So, what’s with the name? Well, it’s probably not a question
you’ve ever asked yourself and you’ll probably not be losing any sleep over it
so it might seem like an odd title, but its original (by which I mean nobody
else had taken it) so, it has that going for it. Truth is that the best way to get
an answer is to go to deepest part of the African wilderness, stroll right up
to a clan and ask them or watch the Lion King and there you have it, question
answered! In all seriousness the truth behind the name is that it’s what every
therian asks me, first thing I sai when I’m new to a therian forum or website
is “what’s it like being a hyena?” or “how did you find out you were a hyena?”
generally something along those lines...
So here is every therians long overdue answer…
And I don’t have one, what’s it like being a wolf? What’s it
like being a dragon? What’s it like being anything? I never know what people want
to hear, they might want me to be just like a wolf, acting proud of my kin type
and claiming all manner of things or do they want me to be like one of the
hyenas from the Lion King (I guess lion therians do). So why name my blog a
question I don’t know the answer to? Why call my slice of the internet something
I am unsure of? Well, because it’s fun, questions in general are fun (I may
sound like I’m rambling but I do have a point), I like questions and answering
them is enjoyable but it’s finding an answer that I really love, the chase, the
mystery is always more fun than the catch.
But still… What’s with the name? Well, it’s my blog, I’m
hoping to find answers to my own questions, not just therian related and the
title really does just capture my experience of being a hyena in one go, people
question it, some criticise, some show way to much interest but the people I
like are the ones that don’t care that I’m a hyena, that see me as a fellow
therian, judge me as a person and not by kin type, the rest of this blog, who
know where it’ll go, it might go all manner of places I’m hoping and be a long
going thing, I think it’ll help me as a person and occasionally give food for
thought, my hopes are a weekly update but I’m pretty busy so, I don’t know how
long that will last, regardless, I hope you enjoy…
